My Counseling Approach: In life, people can find themselves struggling with challenges that seem insurmountable and cause them to feel overwhelmed, hopeless and isolated. My goal is to help you feel empowered by providing you with the tools and skills to enhance and improve your life. The therapeutic process is collaborative and should provide an environment for you to explore and identify patterns of behavior, provide clarity and seek resolution. It is important for me to create a safe and non-judgmental environment for you to be able to share your thoughts, feelings and experiences. I support you as you process and cope with stressful and traumatic life events. I tailor treatment based on each individual and their needs.

Experience: I began my mental health career working in partial care conducting group therapy, where I focused on stabilizing adults and adolescents with behavioral health issues and substance use disorders. I then transitioned to individual therapy and worked with a diverse population focusing on issues such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, chronic illness, interpersonal issues, and trauma. I also focused on helping clients with issues of acculturation, discrimination, cultural expectations and body image issues.
