My Counseling Approach: Making the decision to seek therapy, takes large amount of inner strength. Strengths in which we will build on by working to find appropriate coping strategies and solutions to issues you are experiencing. This is done in a warm and caring space where you are free to share your experiences, thoughts, and feelings without judgement. I work with children, adolescents, and adults who have been diagnosed with ADHD, Anxiety, and Depression. I also work with those who have experienced or are currently experiencing grief/loss, or trauma. By utilizing a Client-Centered approach and incorporating Narrative Therapy, as well as other creative techniques, we will better process issues and find solutions. When working with children, I incorporate Play Therapy as a non-invasive approach. This allows the child to use their innate language of play to express and process their thoughts and feelings. I also work with parents and families to gain a cohesive relationship of caring and respect through talk, games, and role play scenarios.
