My Counseling Approach: I believe in the importance of meeting people
where they’re at and collaborating with clients to set and work towards their
goals, and identify and play towards their strengths. I draw aspects from
cognitive-behavioral, interpersonal, and dialectical therapies, and I’m always
striving to learn more to ensure I can meet each person’s individual needs.
My Professional Passions: Life adjustment, queer & trans affirming care,
interactions between the brain and body, and how society impacts
psychology.
Education: Master of Social Work, Rutgers University
Experience: I began my work in the field at a private practice, providing
individual therapy to a wide range of clients with different backgrounds and
presenting problems, such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, gender dysphoria,
and PTSD. Following that, I transitioned to providing intensive outpatient
therapy to those in recovery from substance use disorders, and ran a group
to allow clients to build support and coping skills for maintained sobriety.
